De Kas, Kamerlingh Onneslaan 3, Amsterdam
De Kas, meaning greenhouse in Dutch, is housed in an enormous glasshouse: one half for eating, the other for growing the fruit and vegetables that end up on your plate. If your food wasn’t produced here, it will come from the surrounding garden or a nearby farm. In a gorgeous building with airy high ceilings and vast windows , one eats fresh produce that hasn’t been fussed over so that the original taste can be identified. When the weather permits, there is outside dining in the herb garden.
Cuisine : Rural Mediterranean
